POLICIES & PROCEDURES:
At Kraken Massage & Body, we understand that unanticipated events occur in everyone's life. In our commitment to provide an effective and outstanding experience to all of our customers and out of consideration for our therapists' time, we have adopted the following policies:
ARRIVAL TO YOUR SESSION
Please have your intake form completed prior to your appointment time. We email you a secure digital intake form upon booking so that you can take your time filling out the appropriate medical information. We do not wish to take time away from your appointment to complete this form.
Please arrive for your appointment 5 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time. All services offered have a specific time schedule and a slightly early arrival allows for a relaxed and unhurried experience. If late arrival is inevitable, your massage may be shortened in order to keep on schedule. Every client is important to us and we want to ensure that every client gets their full allotted time.
CANCELLATION POLICY
At Kraken Massage & Body, we have a 24 hour cancellation policy. This window gives us time to fill the space on your therapist’s schedule and without that notice, your therapist’s schedule will be empty. We have this policy to make sure that our therapists are compensated for their time.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you can do so up to 24 hours prior to your appointment start time without penalty. However, if you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hour notice, you will be charged a cancellation fee of $50. This fee goes directly to the therapist and is solely to compensate them for their lost time. Failure to pay this fee will preclude you from booking future appointments at either of our locations. If we notice a pattern of cancellations with less than 24 hours notice, then we may ask you to prepay for your next appointment.
Full booked service payment is charged for the following reasons:
No-show or missed appointments.
Cancellations within a 3 hour time window prior to the scheduled appointment start time.
Late arrivals – arriving late for a service may require shortening the length of the treatment.
Remember, we value our time as well as yours, and there are many clients looking for massage appointments at the last minute. Cancellations or no-shows do cost us money. We are happy to help and serve you, but we need to make a living as well.
LATE ARRIVAL POLICY
Arriving late for a service may require shortening the length of the treatment. Full payment will be charged.

RESPECT FOR CLIENT NEEDS AND BOUNDARIES
The client may choose to leave on as much clothing as needed for comfort, refuse any massage methods, or stop the massage at any time and is free to leave; the treatment room doors are never locked.
The client will always be modestly draped. Only the area being massaged will be undraped. The client will be kept informed of the area to be massaged.
Occasionally, an emotional response to massage may occur. If this happens, it is absolutely ok to express those feelings in our safe, nonjudgmental environment - or you may request privacy and either temporarily pause or end the session. You are always in control of your massage session.
